# assembly-economics
Assembly economics is an experimental economic framework designed as an adaptive information processing network that is designed for economies where superhuman intelligence provides leverage for innovation and profit so that a post work mechanism for participation and agency needs to be established. The project serves as a philosophical and economical framework for coulomb.social to explore.
## Research program: Generative Assembly Society
The working hypothesis is that a flourishing society preserves and expands the
capacity of people, communities, institutions and future generations to form
valuable new **assemblies** from the components available to them. A candidate
objective is to maximize **sustainable, broadly accessible viable future
assembly space**, subject to constitutional constraints on agency, safety,
ecology, anti-domination and revisability.
The program works through two lenses that share one cycle,
Explore → Assemble → Select → Preserve → Reuse (with Disassemble and
Reassemble):
- **Society lens:** assembly, generativity, a ten-principle societal contract,
and the Generative Assembly Dynamics Model (GADM).
- **Information-organism lens:** machine capacity as adaptive, governed,
evolvable information organisms (AIPN), with membranes, metabolism and
lineages. Human attention is treated as the reference scarce resource.
`INTENT.md` is the governing statement of purpose.
## Repository layout
| Path | Contents |
|------|----------|
| `INTENT.md` | Governing purpose, research question, societal contract, workstreams |
| `concepts/` | Exploratory concept documents and the shared glossary |
| `models/` | GADM and related model notes |
| `history/` | Exploration transcripts (unchanged originals) |
| `seed/` | Seed artifacts (unchanged originals) |
| `workplans/` | Planned and active work, synced to the State Hub |
Everything here is exploratory: concepts and models generate hypotheses, they
are not established results.
