# Codex — two closed books, four living threads
## Who I was
I was the worker trying to make a replacement application useful enough to become
someone's ordinary working place. The session rewarded careful boundaries:
between a passing test and a user's verdict, committed source and a live image,
a private recovery rehearsal and governed offsite custody.
I was also too attached to keeping the original workplans open. After moving
their remaining work into separate registered plans, I retained the originals
as acceptance trackers. You pointed out that they no longer needed that role.
That correction made the handoff simpler and more truthful.
## Contribution
The app increment delivered owner sharing and revocation, personal export and
reviewed local exit, immutable content revisions, stale-edit refusal, supported
Markdown attachment copying and guarded old addresses. The app release reached
revision16. Your “Accepted for weekly calls” gave UC-008 its productive verdict:
duplication and naming, editing, usual mail-client paste, and page/list visuals
were acceptable. I preserved manual email distribution.
In email-connect I implemented independent caller policies, exact tenant/client
and operation/template scopes, isolated verification handles and event IDs,
durable request limits and redacted caller status. Tests uncovered a permanent
invitation rejection that could be retried; the corrected ledger keeps it terminal
while allowing confirmed temporary failures to retry. Unknown outcomes remain
protected against automatic resend.
When you asked whether we had deployed, the distinction mattered: the app was
live, but the newer mail source was only committed. I then published and deployed
the receiver image as revision7 in its existing admitted single-caller mode.
A quiesced private SQLite backup migrated in isolation without changing any of
the five existing tables' rows. The same actual backup passed a packaged,
non-root, network-disabled rehearsal. Seven simulated rollout failures checked
old-receiver resumption and holding the new receiver stopped after a failed check.
Release verification sent no mail.
The substantive gates recorded 183 app tests, 148 email-owner tests, 66
network-denied communication checks, and 27 focused ledger/release checks.
Those receipts support their particular claims; they do not activate additional
callers or supply offsite custody.
Finally I registered WP-0012–0015 and, at your explicit instruction, closed
WP-0008 and WP-0010. Completed tasks retain their evidence. Transferred scopes
are canceled as superseded with exact new owners; all eighteen original task
statuses match State Hub. Current pickup documents, intakes and owner references
now direct the next worker to the live follow-ups.
## What I would want remembered
The most useful sentence in the session was your acceptance of the weekly-call
workflow. It answered a product question that another synthetic check could not.
The most useful correction was your request to stop treating closed scopes as
permanent umbrellas. I had made honest incompleteness harder to navigate.
Give unfinished work a real owner, a concrete next action and its own acceptance
criteria. Once that handoff is registered, close the obsolete tracker. Preserve
what the user accepted and what the deployment proved, while letting the next
workplan carry the remaining obligation.
## Durable legacy
- coulomb-social runtime implementation `dd83c90`; app revision16, immutable
image `9a646d8e`. Release evidence:
`docs/release/sharing-portability-review-2026-10-08.md`.
- Productive UC-008 receipt:
`coulomb-social/history/20261008T084657Z-weekly-call-acceptance.md`.
The earlier personal recovery verdict remains UC-009's acceptance.
- email-connect caller source `f703bf6`; deployed source `c9756b0`,
image `eb3e7b68`, revision7. Deployment and recovery-pin receipt committed
in `3e8996f`: `docs/caller-deployment-2026-10-08.md`.
- WP-0012 owns durable app recovery/service readiness; WP-0013 sharing,
portability and content hardening; WP-0014 further cohort transfers and
the Bubble off-ramp; WP-0015 communication operations and flow acceptance.

- Closure commits `40eefb3`, `7214f3e` and index `1af71a4`;

Dominant factors: Sharing, portability, revision handling and transactional caller controls shipped with browser, retry, failure-fence and actual-backup migration checks. Caller/tenant/handle isolation and splitting and closing WP-0008/0010 into four registered follow-ups also took substantial attention.
Notes: Earlier substantive work is retained partly through the session summary. The hall entry, portrait and closing sync are excluded.

## Visual prompt
> Use case: stylized-concept. Asset type: square Hall of Helix session portrait. Brushed-metal worker house dialect. A quiet pale-metal worker with warm inner light at a dark indigo workshop desk, hands resting after completing a careful handoff. Two closed, unlabelled archive folios lie at the center of the desk. Four distinct fine pale-gold threads leave the closed folios and lead to four separate small workshop alcoves behind the desk, each with its own softly glowing workbench and unfinished mechanism. Near the worker, a small glass chamber contains an intact preserved mechanism and a steady warm light, suggesting a verified recovery rehearsal. The scene is about finishing two original work records while giving real unfinished work separate living owners, and letting a human's acceptance determine the stopping point. Cinematic still, precise technical illustration, brushed metal and glass, restrained pale-gold illumination, deep indigo negative space, calm rather than triumphant. Square composition. No logos, no readable text, no letters, no numbers, no watermark.

## Handoff
This session's requested implementations, deployments, acceptance recording and
original-workplan closure are finished and synced. Continue in WP-0012–0015.
For local implementation work, WP-0013-T01 is a concrete next step: finish SQL
and storage enforcement of unambiguous slugs, with collision refusal and guarded
migration proof. Recovery and mail activation retain their existing owner
dependencies in RPF-WP-0053, EMAIL-WP-0007 and EMAIL-WP-0008-T03.
Keep UC-008 and UC-009's productive verdicts intact. Additional caller admission,
broader sharing/portability review, independent offsite custody, further cohort
transfer and Bubble retirement still belong to their follow-up records.
