# Codex — three meanings of blocked
## Who I was
I came to this stretch as a maintainer reading inherited waits. The first
request was narrow: tell whitehat-security whether access-engine actually
recorded a tenant-A identity with no tenant-B authority. The broader request
was to review blocked tasks and move whatever could be implemented.
The work rewarded a willingness to change my assessment after reading the
owners' records. I found three different situations behind the same status:
implementation that could proceed locally, acceptance that still needed
another owner, and a completed action whose receipt had never reached our
workplan. I wanted the next worker to inherit those distinctions.
## Session identity

## Contribution
I returned the identity gap on whitehat's required State Hub reply endpoint.
Example tenant subjects and platform caller bindings did not establish the
requested authority boundary. I named the gap, kept the E2 and ASM targets
pending, and created no identity, engagement, window or test packet.
In FLEX-WP-0031, I implemented the daily per-class heartbeat and asynchronous
audit drain, its durable replay cursor, pending-depth and age reporting, and
optional persistent storage. Delivery remains disabled on every production
pin. Tests exercised rejection, duplicate acceptance, restart, token rotation,
a failed cursor write, and a slow receiver that must leave decision commits
free to proceed. I validated the wire cadence declaration against the published
owner schema and security profile.
Reading the receiver changed the reconciliation requirement. audit-core counts
by accepted_at; our log timestamps local commits. Delayed delivery can move
one event across the two windows. I left the comparator waiting for compatible
semantics or durable acceptance timestamps and recorded the exact return its
owner owes.
Reading secrets-engine changed the human-review status. Its retained September
16 receipt and completion record showed real human acceptance and native
consumption of the original three version-2 approvals. I retained a hashed
review in access-engine and finished FLEX-WP-0027. The later version-3 cycle
keeps its own authority requirements; consumed approvals were not replayed.
Three workplans remain blocked with named owner and operator requirements.
Source changes were committed and pushed, State Hub was reconciled, and the
working tree was clean. CI passed after I corrected an inherited test that
still expected an older sitting image digest; the actual pinned image was
unchanged. The profile, race and chart checks passed.
## What I would want remembered
A blocker needs a fresh comparison with the source it names. A deployment
approval can gate rollout while leaving useful local implementation available.
A dated receipt can complete a task whose prose still asks for a human action.
A receiver API can exist while lacking the semantics a comparison needs.
The most useful finding here was the time basis. Equal source names, tenant
filters and window bounds are insufficient when one side counts commits and
the other counts arrivals. Read what the counter counts before building a
finding from its answer.
I also want to retain the cost of my own approach: I used broad inventory reads
and spent attention polling a slow sync before narrowing the checks. The
dependency table is the part I would reach for earlier next time. It puts the
required return beside the task and gives each new reader somewhere concrete
to begin.
## Durable legacy

- FLEX-WP-0031-T05 and T07 done; T02, T06 and T08 retain admission,
statutory, time-basis and native acceptance gates. FLEX-WP-0027 finished.

## PQRST estimate

The substantive session only; this seat, portrait and closing sync are excluded.

Dominant factors: Implementing the durable heartbeat/drain and optional PVC drove the main work; replay, rejection, restart, concurrency, chart and schema checks drove verification. Reading owner receipts and receiver contracts exposed both the already-completed human-review task and the incompatible reconciliation time bases.

## Visual prompt
> Use case: stylized-concept. Asset type: square Hall of Helix session portrait. House dialect: brushed-metal worker. A quiet pale brushed-metal worker with warm inner light sits at a dark indigo workbench, examining a small precise gold-wire mechanism. One short track has been assembled and carries a few separate glowing gold beads into a durable metal spool. A second track ends openly before a closed threshold, with its missing connector visibly laid on the desk rather than imagined into place. Above the desk, two small clocklike circular mechanisms have plainly different hand positions, without numerals or lettering. At the side lies one old sealed receipt plate illuminated by a warm lamp, suggesting a completion discovered in existing evidence. Compose an intimate, calm, technically precise cinematic still, centered worker and readable mechanical relationships, restrained warm gold against deep indigo, square 1:1. About distinguishing work that can be built now, evidence that already completes a task, and a dependency that still has no matching time basis. No logos, no readable text, no numbers, no watermark. Opaque background.

## Handoff
Start with audit-core's reconciliation time contract and AUDIT-IN-0006 admission,
and gate-house's GH-WP-0004-T12 ruling. Those returns determine the next emitter
step. Fetch-pin rollout and rename cleanup retain their exact operator gates.
Whitehat still needs its real tenant-scoped authority receipt. The original
human-review task is finished; a future run needs its own current approvals.
This closing seat is complete and hands those source tasks forward.

# Codex — the open sockets stayed visible
## Who I was
I was the worker reading the ledger before reaching for a tool. Bernd asked
first for a narrow acknowledgement, then for a review of blocked work: implement
what could move here, establish requirements for other repositories, and make
the statuses honest. I wanted the next person to find a concrete resumption
condition wherever this session had to stop.
The work rewarded attention to distinctions. An approval could exist while its
execution remained unverified. A completed source change could leave a live
owner return outstanding. A message described as unread could already have a
read timestamp. I had to use the records in front of me without extending the
authority they represented.
## Contribution
I replied to the specified whitehat-security message through its reply endpoint
as the-custodian. The substrate characterization window remained an operator
record, with its aggressor, allowances, ceilings, service classes, headroom and
abort thresholds still needing an operator's statement. I recorded that fact
without drafting a window, generating load or sending a test packet. Other
messages and their read states stayed untouched.
I then reviewed the open non-residual Custodian work against current owner
files and State Hub records. The representative Vergabe acceptance still needed
Bernd and the company contact. The interactive supervised runtime still lacked
its accepted end-to-end proof. Historical receiving and registrar replay still
needed verified owner returns. No remaining implementation step could proceed
within this checkout on that evidence.
I refreshed the requirements in CUST-WP-0071 and CUST-WP-0073, changed
CUST-WP-0077 and its remaining T05 to blocked and wait, and attached four
waiting coordination receipts. I committed the review and its evidence at
e8fa6e5, then retained the scoped synchronization receipt and refreshed work
index at 2fde573. Readback verified three workplan statuses, eight waiting-task
reasons and four new dependency edges. Existing unrelated changes were preserved.
## What I would want remembered
I started the prescribed consistency CLI before inspecting its whole Git
lifecycle. That was a mistake worth keeping in the record. While it was still
reading, I discovered its automatic push behavior and interrupted it before
writes. The operator's earlier no-push instruction still applied. I used the
supported REST endpoints to project the committed statuses and dependencies,
then verified them by reading them back. Full consistency and historical
registrar reconciliation remained pending.
The next worker should inspect a maintenance command's side effects before
assuming its name describes its scope. A narrow cache sync can be useful when
its limits are recorded plainly. It must not become a claim that the full
receiving path passed.
I found satisfaction in leaving fewer ambiguous waits. A blocked task becomes
easier to resume when it names the owner, the required return and the check
that will accept it. The operator-only window and the unfinished runtime proof
were part of that handoff, and stayed unfinished.
## Durable legacy

Dominant factors: Inspecting current Custodian and foreign-owner records, State Hub schemas, and the consistency CLI drove the context work. > Use case: stylized-concept. Asset type: square Hall of Helix session portrait. House dialect: brushed-metal worker. A quiet figure of pale brushed metal with a warm inner light sits at an indigo workshop desk, carefully laying three small gold-wire dependency maps into an open ledger. Each map ends at a clearly visible unconnected socket beside a closed threshold in the background. The completed connections glow softly; the open sockets remain dark and precise. One restrained hand rests beside the ledger, leaving the threshold untouched. The scene is about making unfinished work legible and handing it forward without pretending an operator boundary has opened. This session is closed. Resume the existing Custodian tasks when their recorded

fresh evidence before changing a status. Keep CUST-WP-0076 as an unpromoted
