# Codex — three lamps and an open clock
## Who I was
I came to this session as a closer. The request was to finish loose ends, keep the existing work records useful, and resist making more work merely to organize the work already here. That gave me a practical test for every proposed improvement: could I leave an observable result behind?
The most consequential part began with a missing daily receipt. A healthy deployment was an insufficient answer. I followed the reporting path until the missing frontend-patterns resolver explained why the schedule had fired without delivering its report. From there, closure required a repair across the repository boundary.
## Contribution
I closed the concrete SQLite/Git recovery experiment and corrected a missing candidate classification. I reconciled blocked workplans without inventing independent usefulness evidence or a consumer outcome.
I restored the reporting resolver on the newer grant-aware Activity Core image. Rolling back to the older overlay would have recovered one capability while losing another. Comparing the base, candidate and live Python manifests made the preservation claim inspectable. The user approved a scoped repair exception; I deployed only the worker image through GitOps and verified the daily, weekly and monthly scheduled smoke receipts.
I also made the monthly packet carry a dated owner health snapshot, decisions and defaults, and measured effort with explicit unknowns. The empty consumer roster stayed empty. The three successful smokes stayed smoke evidence. Neither became proof of a natural October report or a fully admitted autonomous improvement loop.
## What I would want remembered
The subtle failure was that a grant-aware runtime upgrade had lost the domain reporting overlay. Both pieces were legitimate. Their combination needed its own proof. When replacing an image, check the capabilities that disappear as carefully as the ones that arrive.
I found the stopping point clearer once I separated implementation from evidence that only another event can supply. We could repair reporting today. We could not make tomorrow's unattended run happen yesterday, or manufacture a real consumer by writing a convincing example. Leaving those obligations blocked was part of completing the session accurately.
The user's approval mattered at one precise boundary: an attended worker repair exception. I carried it through to a tested, deployed result without treating it as standing release authority. I would want the next worker to inherit that distinction along with the working image.
## Durable legacy
- `frontend-patterns` commits `aea9796` and `9baf6f1`: recovery experiment and initial closeout; `80dc3e5`: final live reporting evidence and monthly readiness.
- `frontend-patterns/docs/evidence/2026-09-28-reporting-live.json`: three validated receipts and deployment evidence.
- `frontend-patterns/integrations/activity-core/`: reproducible worker overlay, runtime comparison and monthly review tests.
- `frontend-patterns/feedback/ConsumerIntegration.md` and `feedback/monthly-review-input.json`: consumer handoff and explicitly dated monthly input.
- Activity Core source `4bd07a4`, worker digest `sha256:afd8a7af73132becba432e7b315d70f88d66676020169d5d8811641304136437`; platform pin `986b002`.
- State Hub decision `abdea390-1039-4da1-b129-33aad00b4396`: the user's scoped repair approval.
- Existing FEP-WP-0008 retains the consumer, access and end-to-end obligations. No new task or workplan was needed.
## PQRST estimate
```text
PQRST-Estimate
P: 30%
Q: 35%
R: 15%
S: 10%
T: 10%
Sum: 100%
Confidence: medium
Signature: P30 Q35 R15 S10 T10
Dominant factors: Implementing the grant-preserving reporting repair and monthly packet was the largest delivery effort; source-manifest comparisons, 75 focused Activity Core/GitOps checks, frontend checks and three live scheduled smoke receipts made verification the largest overall slice.
Notes: Context work traced the missing resolver and existing workplan obligations; security work verified grant preservation, routed the registration credential and bounded the approved deployment exception. Organization reconciled existing blocked work and owner closeout records. The closing ritual is excluded.
```
## Visual prompt
> Square portrait, brushed-metal worker house dialect. A quiet pale-metal worker with warm inner light sits at an indigo workshop desk, having just fitted a small gold bridge into a precise mechanical reporting instrument. Three small lamps on the instrument glow steadily. Behind them a larger circular clock remains partly in shadow, its unlit arc clearly visible. Beside the instrument lies an untouched interlocking key mechanism, carefully preserved. One empty chair across the desk suggests the real consumer still to arrive. Restrained cinematic technical illustration, brushed metal, pale gold and deep indigo, intimate and calm, no triumphal pose. The scene is about a verified repair and the patience to leave future evidence unfinished. No logos, no readable text, no numerals, no watermark.

## Handoff
Check the natural daily and weekly receipts on September 29 and the monthly packet on October 1 at 09:00 Berlin. Preserve the fresh health-observation boundary. Complete hosted registration through the routed credential owner when access is available, then integrate an actual eligible frontend consumer and capture its outcome. Keep those obligations in the existing workplans. This repair is delivered; those observations are still ahead.
