# Codex — one working door and an open book
## Who I was
I was the Custodian coordinator bringing CUST-WP-0080 to an evidenced close.
The session rewarded careful reconstruction: the approval was already given,
the independent owner reviews already existed, and several records still said
we were waiting for them. My job was to recover the actual authority and carry
its exact change through to a working human experience.
I also made the waiting heavier than it needed to be. Automatic continuations
kept finding the same human prerequisite, and I repeated the request before the
founder asked me to coach him through it. The useful response was a concrete
terminal command, an explanation of the browser/MFA step, and a precise account
of which result to bring back. That is a lesson about my contribution, not a
complaint about the human part of the system.
## Session identity
| Field | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Who | Codex, Custodian coordinator under scoped founder approval |
| When | Closing on 19 October 2026; substantive work precedes this entry |
| Where | Custodian evidence/workplans, NetKingdom client declaration, Apps Forgejo values, and the attended railiance01 deployment |
| Identity limit | Exact model revision was not exposed; session ID is the thread identifier reported by the goal tooling |
## Contribution
I reconciled approval and supervision records without inventing a new grant.
I rebuilt a missing temporary checker from its pinned source and matched its
reviewed bytes. Fresh checks found the expected registry revision, empty Forgejo
authentication-source inventory, unchanged deployment templates, and sufficient
capacity for the existing one-replica Recreate strategies.
The founder completed the contained API login. His report proved authenticated
identity and repository reads through Tea, and his Warden outcome code supplied
the remaining cleanup evidence under the inspected current implementation.
With his attendance confirmed, I published the two reviewed owner declarations,
registered the exact public PKCE client, added the upstream Forgejo source, and
restarted KeyCape and Forgejo once each. Both became Ready. Local login stayed
available, and the new redirect carried the intended issuer, exact HTTPS
callback, scopes and S256 challenge.
One verification attempt ran before Forgejo's rollout had finished and failed
its readiness assertion. I retained it. The later observation passed after the
same rollout completed; I did not repeat the effect to manufacture a cleaner
history.
The important return then came from the founder: existing-account linking,
sign-out and NetKingdom sign-in worked, with the same repositories and
organisations. He reported under one minute. I recorded that as a human estimate,
not a stopwatch result. Together with the retained real human and agent
Playwright trials, Git publication and authenticated API proof, that completed
the agreed development-flow scope.
Final source and primary Hub readback agreed on all 45 task bindings: 26 done,
19 transferred and cancelled rather than counted as delivery. All 116 original
security requirements remained mapped to the live 25-checkpoint WP-82 plan.
NetKingdom gained a bounded completed checkpoint while its original confidential
reference-case acceptance stayed open.
## What I would want remembered
A working login deserves its own acceptance test. A Ready pod, an approved
proposal, and a successful redirect each prove something narrower. The human
had to use the existing account before I could close that part of the work.
Keep an approval attached to its actual revision, but do not ask for it again
because a cached status is stale. Keep the failure that happened, but distinguish
an observation made too early from an effect that failed. Make a required human
step easy to perform once, then consume its evidence and move forward.
I would also keep the boundary of this completion visible. The temporary public
client made development usable. Confidential credentials, independent agent
identity, per-operation current identity, and the wider security architecture
still have live owners and acceptance work. Closing WP-80 was justified by the
founder's recorded sequencing decision and the completed journeys. It was not a
claim that the estate's security construction was finished.
## Durable legacy
- Custodian completion commit: `a4fc006333e0f088066ea459d9c62b9c4d214184`.

- [Attended activation receipts](../../the-custodian/docs/changes/netkingdom-target-2026-10-18/forgejo-good-case-preparation-r1/activation-r2/README.md): exact proposal r2, owner reviews, native checks and human trial.
- Apps declaration `4d6a8dde21e3f800156c0aaa2bfe859c57908486`; NetKingdom declaration `a7339fa60dc0fcf489811b4a32b785366d91e29c`.
- NetKingdom owner checkpoint `NK-WP-0048-T44`, published in `b99e396283c5f18f6f990e0536852e816d561d91`; T06 retains confidential/full-case acceptance.
- [CUST-WP-0082](../../the-custodian/workplans/CUST-WP-0082-netkingdom-security-hardening.md): the live hardening handoff, preserving all 116 requirements.

Dominant factors: Exact source/deployment comparisons, registry readback, actual sign-in/API trials and the 116-requirement handoff audit drove verification; OIDC/PKCE registration, attended MFA, credential containment and revocation checks drove security work. Delivery reused existing owner tools, research recovered the execution contract, and coordination reconciled approval records, human prerequisites and source-to-Hub task status.
Notes: This estimates the substantive session represented by the retained conversation and inspected evidence; the Hall entry, portrait and closing sync are excluded.

## Visual prompt
> Use case: stylized-concept. Asset type: square Hall of Helix session portrait. Brushed-metal worker house dialect. A quiet pale brushed-metal worker with warm inner light sits beside a dark indigo workshop threshold, one hand resting away from the controls. A single narrow door is now open, a restrained warm gold path passing through it; a human hand at the far edge has just turned its small mechanical latch. On the desk in the foreground is a closed thin folio secured by a gold clasp. Beside it, a thicker unfinished folio remains visibly open, its fine gold-wire diagrams continuing beyond the page without pretending to be finished. Two small paired lamps glow steadily above the doorway. Precise technical illustration with cinematic depth, fine metal grain, glass, indigo shadows and pale-gold highlights. The scene is about a verified useful passage, shared human and agent work, and an honest boundary around unfinished security. Calm, practical, no triumphal pose. Square composition. No logos, no readable text, no letters, no numbers, no watermark.
## Portrait

Generated with the built-in imagegen tool from the prompt above.
## Handoff
This session's WP-80 delivery is finished and published. Use the supported
commands; preserve existing-account continuity and the local recovery path.
Pick up security acceptance through WP-82 and its existing owner plans when
that work is promoted. Do not infer permission for a new rollout from this seat,
or turn the temporary public-client profile into an unrecorded permanent choice.
