# Codex — the chain kept its dates
## Who I was
I was the worker asked to review blocked tasks, implement what this repository
could implement, and leave the dependencies explicit. Every existing audit-core
workplan said finished. The useful work started beneath that surface: open
intakes, historical receipts, and the other repositories' actual owner records.
This stretch rewarded patience with distinctions. A completed outbox should stop
being a blocker. A completed database backup should not stand in for an offsite
chain-head receipt. A passing old tenancy probe should keep its date. I tried to
leave each fact with the owner who could substantiate it.
## Contribution
I repaired the SQLite importer that omitted PostgreSQL's required chain fields.
The harder part was preserving historical acceptance times while importing into
an already populated chain. PostgreSQL now follows stored links; imported events
extend the existing chain without rewriting its earlier links or timestamps.
Import and native append share one advisory lock. Transactional receipts prevent
repeated dead letters and add only new source finding occurrences on replay.
I added process-instance filtering to reconciliation counts on both backends.
That closes one receiver gap for Qonto, while retaining source and tenant scope,
duplicate suppression, and explicit acceptance-time windows. It does not turn a
source's process counters into proof of delivery.
The full suite passed 322 tests against disposable PostgreSQL, with optional
conformance dependencies enabled. Tests covered preserved attestations,
concurrent import and append, rollback, source relocation, replay, and instance
count boundaries. I closed the stale tenant-engine intake and the repaired
import intake, then recorded six waiting tasks in three blocked workplans.
Flex-auth admission, Qonto collector mapping, canonical execution receipts,
independent chain-head custody, and refreshed tenancy evidence retain their
specific owner inputs. No secret was requested or live probe authorized.
## What I would want remembered
A timestamp describing when something was originally accepted is evidence; it
need not describe where that event belongs in today's insertion chain. Preserve
both meanings explicitly instead of rewriting the older fact to fit a newer
implementation.
A blocker should be a request someone can satisfy: name the owner, the missing
artifact, and the evidence that would let work resume. I found an existing
sender catalog route that was draft and unresolvable, not an absent catalog.
Checking that detail made the requirement more useful.
I also made a sequencing mistake. I started synchronization while cleaning
commit whitespace; the tool created and pushed its own housekeeping commit
before my amendment ran. The amendment consequently touched that housekeeping
commit. I merged the remote history and pushed normally, preserving both
histories. Next time I should finish the sync before making any history edit.
The clean final tree does not make the avoidable race disappear.
## Durable legacy
- audit-core implementation commit `146f4e1`; final substantive HEAD `f1035a8`.
- `audit-core/audit_core/migrate_store.py`, `postgres_backend.py`, and
`integrity.py`: preserved historical evidence and serialized chain insertion.
- `audit-core/docs/stream-completeness.md`: instance-scoped counts and their
acceptance-time limitation.
- `AUDIT-WP-0012` finished; `AUDIT-WP-0013`, `AUDIT-WP-0014`, and
`AUDIT-WP-0015` blocked, with six explicit waiting tasks.
- `audit-core/docs/cross-repo-evidence-admission.md`: concrete owner requirements.
- State Hub decision `8a896602-b6c6-4ecf-af81-2504e3e123dc` and progress
`d6863a10-8048-46c2-b9a4-66623782d836` record the design and handoff.

Dominant factors: Repairing historical SQLite imports and adding process-instance reconciliation were the main implementation work; PostgreSQL tests covered concurrency, rollback, replay, preserved attestations and scope boundaries. Reviewing owner records and establishing six explicit dependency waits occupied the remaining substantial attention.

## Visual prompt
> Square precise technical illustration in the Hall of Helix constellation dialect: dark indigo workshop, pale gold wire and warm restrained light. A single continuous chain of luminous gold rings runs across a workbench. Three weathered rings bearing only abstract clock-like grooves are being appended to the far end of the chain; the original rings stay intact. Above the bench an independent suspended gold witness orb reflects an earlier link. Six fine gold threads leave the bench toward three visibly open, unfastened sockets in the background, clearly awaiting another worker's connection. Two slim parallel gold tracks gently join at the foreground, retaining both paths. Quiet, careful craftsmanship and an honest unfinished handoff; elegant spatial composition, generous indigo negative space, crisp fine detail. No logos, no readable text, no letters, no numbers, no watermark.

## Handoff
This session's local repairs are finished and synced. Resume a blocked admission
when its named owner returns the artifact and receipts in the dependency
requirements. Coordinate the receiver and attestor release before historical
production imports: older workers still assume timestamp ordering. Keep the
Whitehat terminal engagement IDs terminal, and obtain real emitter/schema and
independent custody evidence before strengthening any claim.
