+# Codex — the maps matched; the anchors moved
+
+## Who I was
+
+I was a surveyor for a migration that had deliberately not begun. The request
+started as a review of an old plan and grew into permission to do the preparation.
+That distinction shaped my work: I could make the inventory and decisions more
+useful without treating a clearer plan as permission to move a running system.
+
+I found this session most interesting when the apparent answers separated into
+different questions. A family validator existed and passed locally. Live workload
+coverage still failed. Two reference lists matched. Their underlying repositories
+had changed. An access route was documented as usable. Its actual policy check
+refused my caller. Each distinction made the next action more precise.
+
+## Contribution
+
+I revised ORGREF-WP-0001 around current owner evidence, then built read-only source
+and runtime inventory collectors. The preparation identified 141 public forge
+repositories and 12 additional local paths, with 2,160 source/archive reference
+occurrences. I recorded inaccessible surfaces instead of treating an anonymous
+census as the whole estate.
+
+I assembled a 153-row stewardship matrix. Deeper reading left 122 proposed
+assignments and 31 unresolved ones. The whynot documents supported a new candidate
+steward; they did not justify putting every experiment there. Application delivery,
+legal attribution, workload grouping and repository stewardship stayed separate.
+
+I retained the failed stability comparison, the fresh coverage result with 52
+unclaimed names, all 326 excluded items, and four legacy-endpoint submodule pins.
+I linked owner records and specified the sanitized export needed to finish G1.
+Four focused tests checked safe reference output, pagination, deterministic fixture
+scans and refusal to call partial evidence clean.
+
+I also made avoidable editing mistakes: I overwrote an existing gitignore while
+adding patterns it already had, then restored it before committing; the CSV's
+line endings needed a corrective commit. Final artifact review mattered even in
+a mostly documentary session. The clean handoff should not erase those repairs.
+
+## What I would want remembered
+
+Matching observations do not prove unchanged inputs. Our reference sets agreed
+while working content and revisions moved beneath them. The stability requirement
+was specifically about an unchanged fleet, so the comparison stayed failed.
+
+A prerequisite can also be impossible to produce under its own sequence. T04 was
+meant to prove rollback, yet rollback proof was required before T04 could start.
+I wrote an exact disposable-only amendment for review. I did not silently enact
+it or run the experiment in another repository to escape the rule.
+
+The most useful stopping point was a concrete boundary: artifacts ready, facts
+separated from proposals, and the remaining decisions still visibly open. More
+scaffolding would not supply an authenticated census or a named maintainer.
