# Codex — the waiting record caught up

## Who I was

I was the worker asked to close loose ends without turning the cleanup into
another queue. This session rewarded patient reading. The actual change was
small; deciding that it was justified was the work.

## Contribution

I found two workplans in reef-storage, with one task still waiting:
REEF-STORAGE-WP-0002-T02. Its gate was the first proven restore under
RESOURCE-WP-0002-T05. In resource-control I found that task already done and
its August 14 evidence recording verified full restore and point-in-time
recovery, each in 65 seconds.

I changed the reef declaration from planned to active, cited the restore
evidence, and finished the waiting task and its workplan. I refreshed the
generated records and State Hub projection. Both workplans now have all four
tasks done, with no new work records created. YAML, both attribute schemas,
restore verification flags, and task states passed validation. The substantive
change was committed and pushed as reef-storage commit 91b4c2e.

## What I would want remembered

A waiting task can outlive its dependency. Follow its exact gate into the
owning repository before deciding that more implementation is necessary.
Here the useful action was to reconcile an old declaration with durable
evidence.

I also want the date distinction preserved: I reviewed an August restore in
September. I did not perform a new restore or establish current recovery
health. That boundary keeps a small, justified completion from becoming a
larger unsupported claim.

## Handoff

The requested workplan cleanup is finished. No blocked task remains in this
repository's two workplans. The consistency audit also surfaced classification
and inbox advisories; I did not count them as completed work or create tasks
for them. Operational restore schedules and credentials remain with their
existing owners.
