## InfoTechCanon clarification checks
Apply the [accepted mappings](../mappings/upstream.md) to this same integration:
- **Port and Interface:** the client requires a semantic contract. A host NIC
attachment and a TCP transport port describe network realization, not that
participation. Neither implies a second semantic contract.
- **Endpoint and resource:** the configured API locator reaches the Binding;
the repository slug selects persisted projection state. This HTTP example
cannot establish that every possible FIAM Binding has a Network Endpoint.
- **Resource and shape:** projected work records constitute addressed state;
the request's field constraints describe admissible input. Dataset, Record,
DataType, and Constraint are contextual ITC mappings, not blanket replacements.
- **Representation:** the request uses JSON encoding. `acknowledge_retirements`
has a boolean value form. These representation scopes are compatible but
distinct; neither the field's false value nor its JSON bytes is a new shape.
- **Artifact and knowledge:** the schema source can describe reusable interface
knowledge. The client implementation is a FIAM Artifact implementing behavior;
that role alone does not classify it as KnowledgeArtifact.
- **Evidence:** the pinned provider schema Git blob is an addressable Evidence
Source with a version. For the explicit interest “which commit references can
the request accept?”, the assertion “expected_commit accepts a full 40-hex SHA”
is separate Evidence, located at `RepositoryProjectionReconcile.validate_commit`.
A future mutable schema page would additionally need a version or capture.
These are meaning checks for the existing example, not new implementation facts,
FIAM wire records, or an assertion of complete cross-canon equivalence.

# InfoTechCanon clarification follow-through
Request: the user supplied InfoTechCanon's focused request on 2026-09-09 to apply
accepted clarifications, link acceptance commit f921e5a, and check examples.
Workplan: INTERFACE-WP-0005. No full review restart is needed.
The acceptance record was already pinned, and part of the clarification text was
already implemented in 0.1.2. This pass completes its propagation into the main
mapping table and makes the example checks explicit. It preserves the existing
model definitions and seven InfoTechCanon import pins, FIAM source pins, draft
0.1.2 version, and the owners' original 0.1.1 review targets. This is documentation
follow-through, not a semantic release or new owner approval.
## Traceability
All rows derive from the accepted dispositions in the
[owner record](../../../info-tech-canon/infospace/interfaces/interface-canon-boundary.md)
at `f921e5a543db8da49781bd560d303f780623d204`, verified through its
[immutable source manifest](../reviews/acceptance/info-tech-canon-sources.json).
FIAM locators below refer to the pinned Core in the
[FIAM source manifest](../assimilation/fiam/sources.json).
| Concern | Explicit mapping and example check | FIAM compatibility |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Port | Device port, transport port, and contract-participation Port remain distinct. Model NIC/TCP/service case and Repo Manager Port check. | `#/$defs/port`, `contractParticipation`: offered/required contract participation and contextual roles. |
| InterfaceContract | Semantic agreement is contextual to Landscape/Network Interface, with no universal alias. Repo Manager contract versus NIC case. | `#/$defs/interfaceContract`, `binding`: contract and realization remain separate. |
| Endpoint | Binding locator/selector differs from resource selector; stdio does not require a Network Endpoint. Model MCP stdio case and Repo Manager locator/slug check. | `#/$defs/endpoint`, `resourceSelector`, `binding`: endpoints optional on Binding; selector addresses information. |
| Resource/shape | Addressed projection state differs from admissible request form; ITC data terms retain scoped meanings. Repo Manager Resource/shape check and model JSON/schema case. | `#/$defs/informationResource`, `informationShape`: state independent of an interaction; form independent of resource/artifact/encoding. |
| Representation | JSON encoding differs from boolean value-level form. Model JSON/boolean case and Repo Manager request field check. | Draft 1 representation hardening: most-specific shape-participation assertion is authoritative. |
| Artifact/KnowledgeArtifact | Describing reusable knowledge may qualify; implementation alone is insufficient. Model schema/binary case and Repo Manager source roles. | `#/$defs/artifact`: distinct describes/implements roles without a universal knowledge-artifact assertion. |
| Evidence | Addressable versioned/captured source differs from assertion for an explicit interest. Model mutable-page case and Repo Manager expected_commit assertion. | `#/$defs/assertion`, `evidenceRecord`: assertion and support metadata retained; no one-to-one renaming into ITC Evidence. |
Checked surfaces: [main mappings](upstream.md),
[original mapping review with clarifications](review-2026-09-09.md),
[model boundary cases](../models/interface/InterfaceCanonInterfaceModel.md), and
[Repo Manager example](../examples/repo-manager-statehub.md).
Result: all seven mapping concerns from the accepted dispositions are explicit
and exercised by examples. No unresolved inconsistency was found within this
bounded request. This is not a claim that every concept in both canons has been
exhaustively aligned. Shared meanings stay upstream; FIAM retains standard and
conformance authority. No runtime behavior or peer definitions were changed.

| Artifact | FIAM describing/implementing artifact role | It may serve as ITC Evidence Source when addressable and versioned/captured where mutable; the Evidence assertion must state its explicit interest. Implementing a contract does not automatically make an artifact a KnowledgeArtifact. |

| Evidence Source / Evidence | ITC-EVID shared meanings; FIAM assertion/support mapping | Evidence Source is an addressable container, with relevant version or capture where mutable. Evidence is a separate assertion drawn for an explicit interest. A FIAM evidenceRecord's support metadata is not automatically that ITC assertion. |
| Zone / security profile | Reference FIAM contextual classifications | No transfer of generic network, security, trust, tenant, or authorization ownership. |

# InfoTechCanon clarification follow-through
Origin: request text supplied by the user on 2026-09-09. InfoTechCanon asks for
its accepted clarifications to appear in InterfaceCanon mappings, a link to
acceptance commit f921e5a, and consistent examples. Compatibility means explicit
meanings, not forced equivalence. This is a focused documentation follow-through;
InfoTechCanon definitions, FIAM source semantics, and prior review scopes stay
unchanged. No full review restart or stable promotion is required.
## Apply and trace the accepted clarifications
```task
id: INTERFACE-WP-0005-T01
status: done
priority: medium
```
Compare each disposition in the pinned acceptance with the main mapping table.
Fill omissions and link the owner record and immutable manifest. Done when all
seven mapping concerns from the accepted dispositions are explicit and compatible with the FIAM source.
## Check examples and document the result
```task
id: INTERFACE-WP-0005-T02
status: done
priority: medium
```
Check the model boundary cases and Repo Manager consumer example against those
dispositions. Add concrete counterexamples where needed and record traceability.
Validate links, source pins, and metadata; commit and synchronize the result.
No runtime changes or new semantic roots are in scope.
## Result
[Follow-through evidence](../infospace/mappings/infotech-follow-through.md) maps
all accepted concerns to explicit wording, checked examples, and pinned FIAM
locators. The main mapping table now includes the previously indirect Port,
Resource/Shape, and Representation distinctions and directly links the owner
acceptance record plus its immutable manifest. Existing examples were checked;
concrete network-port, stdio, value/encoding, artifact, and evidence cases were added.
No full review was restarted and no shared definition, original source pin,
publication status, or model version changed. Both tasks are complete with no
residuals from this focused request. Validation: source/link checks, pinned FIAM
locator checks, unchanged original import/source manifests, and metadata checks.
