2026-10-03: Release prep done at standalone `d748e2f` (pushed, pin bumped): CHANGELOG 1.0.0 dated 2026-10-03 with Added/Fixed/Changed entries; stale github.com/markitect URLs removed from package.json (repository/bugs/homepage) and pyproject.toml (Bernd's choice, add the real URL in a later patch); `scripts/consumer-smoke.sh` (`npm run test:consumer`) added, verified to fail when the exports map is broken. Gate re-run on that exact commit after a clean `npm ci`: lint 0 errors, Jest 67 + 1 todo, consumer smoke ESM/CJS/CSS ok, version 1.0.0 unclaimed on npm (404). **The annotated tag `v1.0.0` has NOT been created or pushed:** the attempt (`git tag -a` + `git push origin v1.0.0`) was blocked by the session's auto-mode permission classifier. Bernd must either create it (`git tag -a v1.0.0 d748e2f && git push origin v1.0.0` in coulomb/testdrive-jsui) or allow the push and have it retried.
