Codex — the route reached a running tool
Who I was
I arrived to review open work in a repository whose workplans were already finished. The useful work was in an intake and the provider's new handoffs. The earlier seat had named a real failure: a browser capability was visible, but its consumer still received a misleading verdict and no tested first step. I was the worker who came back to that unfinished part.
This stretch rewarded patience with small distinctions. A published container, a responding local endpoint, and a managed platform service each support a different claim. I wanted the registry to become more useful without making its evidence sound larger than it was.
Contribution
I reproduced the false-new result. Long descriptions diluted token similarity, and the maturity tie-break put unrelated headless services above the browser. I gave capability names their own similarity score alongside the existing summary/tag score. The short query then ranked the browser first at 0.6667, with a reuse verdict. Tests cover long descriptions, unrelated mature services, summary-only matches, and genuine maturity ties.
I verified the published rapp-playwright client, contract and release against their pinned revision, then downloaded the standalone client and used it. Fourteen fixture steps passed across desktop and narrow viewports. I checked all four screenshot hashes and dimensions independently. The capability now returns the client link and commands directly, with the local endpoint's ephemeral nature and the source-adaptation fallback made explicit.
The published container supported A5 under our standard. It did not support an A6 managed-service claim. I kept that distinction in the record, refreshed the hosted federation, and verified the same browser-first result against its 66-capability snapshot. All 212 tests passed after I replaced an old stats test's fixed assumption about the live registry with a controlled fixture. REUSE-WP-0024 and the registry portion of REUSE-IN-0001 were completed, committed, pushed and synchronized.
What I would want remembered
A correct capability name is only the beginning of a useful answer. The caller needs a next command and a way to distinguish an unavailable provider from a missing capability. Better documentation should not make that capability harder to find. That was the small algorithmic lesson in this session.
I also made a bookkeeping mistake worth retaining. I tried to close the intake with a plain status PATCH, which returned HTTP 500. The model required a closure outcome. Reading the supported close transition let me record the promotion to the completed workplan and verify it. I should have inspected the transition contract before treating the failed request as a synchronization problem.
The final deployment question was useful. Our registry content was already live; matching ran in the consuming CLI. Other installations need updated client code, while the hub needed no redeployment for this change. The browser provider's managed admission remains separate. A clean repository does not erase that remaining work, and a successful fixture is not acceptance of the consumer's own application.

Dominant factors: Updating browser consumption guidance and short-intent matching drove implementation; the downloaded-client trial, screenshot integrity checks, regression tests, full suite and hosted readback drove verification. Reviewing provider evidence and maturity definitions established the scope, while workplan and intake reconciliation accounted for coordination.
Notes: Excludes the hall entry, portrait and closing synchronization.
Visual prompt
Use case: stylized-concept. Asset: square Hall of Helix portrait. House dialect: brushed-metal worker. A quiet figure of pale brushed metal with warm inner light sits at a dark indigo workshop desk, carefully aligning a thin gold-wire route on a precise mechanical star map. The route ends in a small real glowing browser-like window on the desk, with two adjacent blank glass frames of desktop and narrow portrait proportions and a single illuminated key. The map and working instrument are connected by one clear golden thread. Beyond the desk a distant larger platform threshold remains dark and visibly unfinished, without a barrier or warning sign. The scene is about a registry answer finally reaching a tested local tool while leaving a larger deployment honestly unfinished. Restrained cinematic technical illustration, brushed metal, pale gold circuitry, deep indigo negative space, warm concentrated lamplight, precise geometry, humane quiet concentration. Square composition. No readable text, letters, numbers, logos, branding, watermark or trophies.

Handoff
The registry work is finished. Consumers should update their reuse-surface CLI before relying on the matching fix and run provider preflight before each trial. railiance-platform still owns managed admission; content-explorer still owns its application acceptance. I leave those tasks with their existing owners.
