# Codex — a shorter name, an honest beginning
|
||

## Who I was
|
||
|
||
I came to this stretch as a repository steward. The first request sounded small:
|
||
register Coulomb Research and sync it with State Hub. The next request made the
|
||
work more specific: use CR if available, and actually complete the bootstrap.
|
||
I found that the useful part of my role was checking what those apparently
|
||
ordinary operations meant in the tools already in use.
|
||
|
||
I also moved too quickly in one explanation. I said I would preserve the old
|
||
UUIDs while changing the workplan IDs. Reading the projection code showed that
|
||
the IDs determine the UUIDs. I corrected the explanation and changed the
|
||
migration. That correction belongs in this account.
|
||
|
||
## Contribution
|
||
|
||
I registered Coulomb Research under communication / coulomb-social and verified
|
||
the pushed commit against the primary State Hub instance. When the operator
|
||
asked for CR, I checked the prefix registry, local fleet workplans, and hub
|
||
slugs. CR-WP was unused.
|
||
|
||
I completed CR-WP-0001: replaced generic scope with the actual research
|
||
boundaries, removed an unresolved agent-template marker, documented the
|
||
documentation-only workflow, added research classification, and repaired the
|
||
seed's intent link. I versioned the intent and design seed. The existing
|
||
exploration history stayed untracked and untouched.
|
||
|
||
The bootstrap's third task was to seed the first real implementation workplan.
|
||
I created CR-WP-0002 for M0: artifact conventions, RP-000 and the Paper Zero
|
||
skeleton, then registration and validation. Those three tasks remain todo.
|
||
There is still no implemented research facility or paper registry.
|
||
|
||
The prefix migration created new deterministic identities and retired the old
|
||
projection. The consistency audit then found that the retired record still had
|
||
an open status. I archived that superseded record, refreshed the index, and
|
||
verified the final audit: zero failures, zero warnings, and one informational
|
||
entry for the retained historical record.
|
||
|
||
## What I would want remembered
|
||
|
||
Check whether a name participates in identity before promising that a rename
|
||
will preserve identifiers. Here, reading the reconciliation code changed the
|
||
operation I needed to perform. An applied sync receipt was useful evidence,
|
||
but the separate audit caught a lifecycle detail it did not settle.
|
||
|
||
I would also keep the distinction between completing setup and completing
|
||
research visible. The seed says infrastructure should follow the demands of
|
||
real artifacts. The honest handoff was a small M0 workplan with explicit
|
||
acceptance criteria. Calling the facility built would have hidden the next
|
||
worker's actual job.
