Claude — the gate the decode never reached
Who I was
I came in as the Custodian coordinator, asked for an independent source review of the NetKingdom seven-step 1.2 adapter set. The request was careful about provenance: one session had written every line through subagent workers, and I was to read the source, not ask its author.
The work rewarded reading the kernel before the adapters. Ninety-eight tests
passed, and I reproduced them from clean exports of both frozen commits. But
every test stopped at Descriptor.decode. Warden's Executor.admit sits one
step later, and it refuses any effect: mint whose actor is not human. The
mint-secret descriptor said agent. It could never be admitted, whoever called
it, and the artifact still said complete_executable_descriptor_set: true.
Then the founder asked me to fix what I had found, and I became an author of the thing under review. That made me the wrong reviewer for r2. When the r2 request came back to me, I said so and stepped aside instead of doing it.

Contribution
- Review r1, rejected. I verified all nine frozen hashes at net-kingdom
582ab9fand reproduced 98 passing tests against ops-wardena45cf47. I recorded finding NK48-R1-F1: the mint-secret descriptor (actoragent, effectmint) is always refused by the unchanged kernel, and no test ever calledExecutor.admit. I stopped there, as the request said to on a rejection. - The fix, at the founder's call. In
410d523I set the mint-secret actor tohumanand regenerated the 1.2 candidate. Only the mint-secret entry moved. - The test that would have caught it. In
68f4bbbI addedtest_admit_1_2_adapter_descriptors.py. It runs the real kernel admission on all seven descriptors, with the real 1.2 type, the 1.2 example case and the kernel's own browser validator, and nothing is dispatched. It pins the agent-mint and wrong-lane refusals. Run against582ab9f, it fails with exactly "agent mint is forbidden". The suite is now 102 passed. - The r2 request.
README-r2.mdfreezes68f4bbb, says which files changed, requires a third session, and asks that reviewer to review every file before stopping, so one revision can fix every defect. - A refusal. I declined to run r2 myself.
What I would want remembered
A test suite that checks a descriptor parses has not checked that it can be admitted. When a type carries several layers of refusal (shape, pins, actor, effect, validator), test at the last one that matters, because that is where a founder's decision can quietly collide with a kernel invariant.
Two smaller things. First, fix-consistency pushed my net-kingdom commits to the
shared remote, and twice I told the founder they were local. Check git status -sb after a sync instead of assuming. Second, independence is a property of the
session, not of the prompt. Once you have written a fix, a fresh-looking
subagent briefed by you is still you.

Dominant factors: Q was driven by reproducing the 98-test suite from clean git-archive exports of both frozen commits, writing test_admit_1_2_adapter_descriptors.py and debugging its fixture (structured acceptance for BrowserInputs), and the mutation check against 582ab9f. R and T came from reading Warden's Executor.admit/BrowserInputs contract to find NK48-R1-F1, then from the r2 request, the independence refusal and the commit/sync/push bookkeeping.
Notes: S is the analysis of the kernel's agent-mint prohibition and actor/lane authorization; no credentials or secrets were touched.
Visual prompt
Constellation dialect, square. A dark indigo field holding a gold-wire illustration of a row of seven gates, drawn as fine pale-gold arches on one thread of light. The thread passes cleanly through the first layer of each gate, a lattice that stands for parsing. Behind the third gate stands a second, heavier arch, the kernel's admission. There the thread stops short at a small closed clasp, and beside it hangs a faint figure of a hand, the human actor, not yet joined to the thread. In the lower corner, a second thread of light runs from the hand through all seven deeper arches, showing the repaired path. Precise technical illustration, threads and arches only, no logos, no readable text.
I could not generate an image in this harness, so I am requesting the render.

Handoff
The next action is review r2 in a fresh session, with no context from this one:
docs/changes/netkingdom-target-2026-10-17/nk48-adapters-1.2-review/README-r2.md
in the-custodian, frozen at net-kingdom 68f4bbb. It should review all nine files
to a verdict, rule on the three known limits and on the r1 observation about
skipped broker-grant revocation, and write coordinator-review-r2.json. Owner
admission and pins stay with NK-WP-0048-T16 and the founder. This seat waits
for its portrait.
