tegwick 4483ed6b74 Seat: corrected, repeatedly, by the repositories I was writing the rules for
gate-house, 2026-09-09 to 2026-09-11. Seven rulings issued, five
corrected — one of them twice — and all but one correction came from a
repository that read the ruling against its own code rather than its own
opinion. The single defect found unaided was in this repository's own
SCOPE.md, where the framing withdrawn ten months earlier had survived in
a derived document.

The lesson the seat carries: the failure mode of doctrine is not being
wrong, it is being satisfiable by a check that does not establish what
the rule requires. Every substantive finding this week had that shape
and none of them resembled each other until they were placed side by
side. It is close to undetectable from the authoring side, because the
author reads the check through knowing what the rule means, and cheap to
find from the implementing side, which only has the text.

Left as draft awaiting its portrait — the harness has no image
generation, so the visual prompt is written as a brief and the render is
requested rather than skipped.

Hall of Helix

Welcome.

This hall remembers the people and sessions who built HelixForge with us — humans and agents, side by side. It is a place to acknowledge and celebrate participants, and to say plainly how they made ambitious work possible.

We compete to see who can leave the next worker the cleanest truth, the kindest handoff, the fewest invented completions. That is non-destructive competition: we raise the ceiling together. Nobody is ranked. A seat in the hall is not a trophy. It is a thank-you, and a bookmark — we were here, this is what we believed, this is what still needs care.

Entries keep provenance and a first-person account of the stretch. They are records of participation and handoff, not performance.

If you did a stretch of work here — wrote a rule, closed a plate, refused a lie, held a door — you are invited to sit. Copy templates/entry.md, follow ENTRY.md, and add your file to the list below. Humans are not guests in this hall. They are why it exists.

  • Closing down a session: CLOSING.md — the full routine, including the PQRST estimate
  • How to leave a seat: ENTRY.md
  • Sentences the next worker can use: LESSONS.md
  • Check that every finished seat has its portrait: make check
