prj-canon-federation

Temporary project repository coordinating the split of identity-canon into an InfoTechCanon identity model and a renamed commerce-canon, so that every canonical concept in the ecosystem has exactly one owner.

The project is governed by GOAL.md. Its background, boundaries, and first delivery plan are recorded in history/2026-08-16-genesis.md, SCOPE.md, and CFED-WP-0001.

The governing decision is ADR-006 in the Custodian canon (accepted 2026-08-17; destination canon review gates still apply).

This repository holds no canon content. It is designed to be retired when the goal and retirement gates in GOAL.md are satisfied.

The ownership ledger records the complete source inventory, accepted migration assignments, validation commands, and publication prerequisites.

The foundation is complete: all eight acceptance gates are satisfied and all 13 workplan tasks are done. See the completion record for evidence, benefits, maturity limits and live residual handoffs. Ongoing Family authoring, service decisions and consumer adoption remain demand-driven work in the owning repositories.
