InterfaceCanon derivation boundary

Status: accepted for the reviewed draft derivation and authority boundary. Reviewer: Codex acting for facetted-interfaces under the repository task request. Review date: 2026-09-09.

Reviewed InterfaceCanon interface-model 0.1.1 at 1fc82ec6655ed286cea3be284e33d08e7b27edc3, specifically infospace/models/interface/InterfaceCanonInterfaceModel.md and infospace/assimilation/fiam/sources.json. Request package: 6b33ac2388190207c4373e6f288922ce5c0b0413, INTERFACE-WP-0004-T01; State Hub request cb3a7690-f145-4559-969f-c6f800994de0.

InterfaceCanon translates FIAM interface terminology into a focused extension to InfoTechCanon. FIAM retains authority over standard semantics, Core schemas, controlled terms, profiles, policies, reference implementation, and conformance. InterfaceCanon owns its derived presentation and cross-canon mappings.

The consumer pins FIAM v0.2 Draft 6 at 135326756913363b098bcdee791628b5e864b8be, including the retained Draft 1 explanation, frozen Core schema, and Canon. All four source manifest hashes were verified against that commit.

Review findings

Distinction FIAM evidence Assessment
Contract versus binding Core contractParticipation, binding; Draft 1 structural spine Preserved; offers/requires concerns participation and multiple realizations can share a contract.
Endpoint versus resource selector Core endpoint, resourceSelector, binding.endpoints Preserved; endpoint reuse does not imply resource identity.
Channel versus retained resource Draft 1 structural spine and Kafka example Preserved; exchange and retained information remain distinct roles.
Shape versus artifact versus representation Core informationShape; Draft 1 hardening §§3–5 Preserved; representation remains scoped to shape-participation assertions.
Assertions versus lens conclusions Core assertion; Draft 6 §§1, 6–7 Preserved; unknown evidence and policy-dependent interpretations remain explicit.

No blocking semantic corrections were found in this reviewed model. Its prose is an explanatory summary: exact required fields, optionality, controlled terms, and validation remain governed by FIAM's source artifacts and validators.

Acceptance is limited to fidelity of this derivation and its authority boundary. It does not promote either draft to stable, certify consumer runtime conformance, or change the identity/commerce ownership ledger. Future source revisions need a new review. This document is the repository's review receipt; its Git commit identifies the applied peer change.
