KEY-WP-0013-T05's tenant blocker did not need the decision it was waiting on. The
two proposed resolutions differ in where a human's tenant comes from -- the
directory record, or the client registration -- and an implementation exists that
is correct under either, so the choice can be made later without another
migration.
A client registration may now declare a tenant. humanTenant() resolves it by four
rules: no declaration keeps the directory answer unchanged; a declared zone
applies where the directory has placed the user nowhere; agreement passes; and a
declared zone conflicting with a directory assignment refuses issuance rather
than relabelling the user.
The refusal is the design, not an edge case. A registration can bind a zone for
unplaced users and can never move a placed one, so this gets the approval chain
its tenant:platform without writing a general cross-tenant override into the
issuer. It fails closed rather than picking a winner, because either answer would
be a silent cross-tenant assertion, and it reports 403 with
error_type: tenant_binding so an operator can tell a misconfigured registration
from a rejected login. If the owners later populate directory tenants, the same
code stops supplying the zone and starts enforcing agreement with it.
Safe only because client registrations are static and deployment-owned. The
tenant contract records that this rule must be revisited if dynamic client
registration is ever admitted.
Tests cover all four rules; neutering the conflict check fails the relabel test
rather than passing silently.
T05 now waits on one thing only: the client_id and callback URI from
informed-decision once it has a deployed origin.

informed-decision and approval-engine both asked to hear problems with the human
approver registration now rather than at handover. Checking their requested shape
against the source rather than agreeing it on paper turned up three things.
Scope gap, accepted: [openid, approval:approve] cannot render a decision, since
GET /v1/approvals/{id} and /claim both need approval:read -- the surface could
submit an entry it was never able to display. Published
[openid, approval:read, approval:approve]. Reading through a service identity was
the alternative and is worse: it weakens the evidence-of-what-this-person-saw
claim the component exists to make. approval:consume stays excluded.
Assurance shape, published and a defect fixed. Both asked for a documented shape
and KeyCape already emitted one, so it is written down rather than renegotiated.
Writing it down surfaced that `at` was the token mint time rather than the
authentication time. Those differ by hours whenever a browser session is reused,
and approval-engine persists this object verbatim as the only downstream record
that MFA happened -- so a stored approval could have evidenced MFA at a moment
the person proved nothing. PKCESession.AuthTime now carries the original login
instant through session reuse, with mint time as the fallback.
Blocker found before anyone built on it: a human token cannot carry
tenant:platform. effectiveTenant resolves the human tenant from the directory
user, no adapter populates User.Tenant, and the per-client tenant field is read
only on the client_credentials path -- so every human token defaults to
tenant:coulomb, which approval-engine refuses by exact string equality. It would
have presented as a failed approval rather than a registration defect. Two
resolutions sent to the owners and neither implemented here: the choice decides
whether a human's tenant is a property of the person or of the registration, and
that is not KeyCape's alone to make.
Also recorded ops-warden's answers to KEY-WP-0014-T04, including their finding
that `warden plan` returns `autonomous` for a need containing generate and
CAS-write, because it has no read-versus-mutate intent. Their standing
instruction -- treat a warden plan verdict on any write, rotate or provision need
as unreliable until WARDEN-WP-0038 lands -- is recorded in the workplan rather
than left in an inbox.

KEY-WP-0009-T04 is done. Re-ran verification on main with an explicit Go 1.23.0
toolchain and a writable build cache: contract validator PASS, build, vet and the
full test suite pass, git diff --check clean. gofmt had drifted on
internal/server/telemetry/events.go and tests/migration/scenario_c_test.go
(comment alignment only, no semantic change); both reformatted so the task's
formatting claim holds. The four handoffs to netkingdom, secrets-engine,
ops-warden and railiance-platform were then actually sent -- the 2026-09-05 audit
had shown the earlier claimed delivery had no receipts -- and each receipt id is
recorded in the workplan and readable back from the hub.
KEY-WP-0013-T02 and KEY-WP-0014-T04 stay in wait. Their remaining work is not
ours to do, so what was owed was the request, and it is now delivered: custody
admission for the two approval clients to railiance-platform, the exact human
client id and callback URI to approval-engine, and the OpenBao-token vs
issuer-JWT split plus Qonto rotation execution authority to ops-warden. Each
message quotes the existing non-secret packet or reviewed sequence and states
what is explicitly not being treated as authorization.
No secret was read, no production resource changed, no route retired.
SCOPE.md updated to match.

Closes gap G08. /healthz returned a constant without probing anything, the server
called ListenAndServe with no signal handling, and the operational limits of
in-memory state, startup-loaded keys and local-only logout lived in code comments
rather than anywhere an operator would look.
/readyz probes LLDAP, Authelia and privacyIDEA; /healthz stays liveness and
probes nothing. Keeping them distinct matters: wiring liveness to dependency
health means an orchestrator restarts KeyCape when a dependency blinks, and a
restart also discards every in-flight login, so the reaction is worse than the
condition it reacts to.
LLDAP is probed with a bind rather than a dial, since a rotated or revoked
service password leaves the port open and every lookup failing -- exactly what
readiness should catch and exactly what a dial would miss. The response names the
failing check but never the reason: the endpoint is unauthenticated and upstream
error text carries hostnames and sometimes credentials-in-URLs. Results are
cached for 2s so an unauthenticated endpoint cannot be used to drive unbounded
upstream traffic, and probes run concurrently under a 3s bound so a hung
dependency makes the endpoint answer rather than hang with it.
SIGTERM and SIGINT now drain in-flight requests for 15s, under the 30s read/write
timeouts so a stuck request cannot outlive the window before SIGKILL.
docs/operations.md states the single-replica topology and why, and three limits
easy to get wrong: the constant key-1 key ID makes same-kid rotation a trap for
consumers caching JWKS, removing a client does not revoke its issued tokens, and
/logout is local only. No throughput figures are given, since nothing here
benchmarks KeyCape. Shared storage and refresh tokens stay excluded, as G08
allows.
Verified in the running executable: 503 naming all three checks failed while
/healthz returned 200, the LLDAP check flipping to ok once started, and 40/40
requests succeeding across a SIGTERM.

Closes gap G02 of the scope assessment for the client-registration and discovery
surface. spec/canonical-model.yaml and domain/model.go both claimed to be the
source of truth and disagreed: the spec restricted grants to authorization_code,
required redirect URIs of every client, and omitted the audience, service
subject, tenant, role, MFA and handoff fields the runtime reads.
The durable part is the link, not the edit. A two-way conformance test compares
the spec against the Go model by reflection and fails when a runtime field has
no spec entry or a spec entry is not read by the runtime, the latter unless
marked runtime: false. It found drift beyond the assessment's list on its first
run -- User.tenant was undeclared -- which is the argument for the check over a
one-time reconciliation.
Discovery now advertises the core profile claims that appear on every token and
derives scopes_supported from the registered clients rather than a fixed list.
The Go model is stated as the runtime authority and the YAML as the reviewed
contract, in both files. This covers client registration and discovery, not
schema enforcement in general, which remains G06.

Closes the local protocol surface of gap G01 from the scope assessment
(KEY-WP-0016). The browser grant validated PKCE, client id and scopes but left
four bindings unenforced, and UserInfo verified less than the caller CLI does.
Authorization-code path: bind the exchange to the redirect URI the code was
issued for, refuse clients whose registration does not permit the grant, and
authenticate confidential clients with a digest-based constant-time comparison
over the same credential sources as the service grant. An empty grantTypes stays
an implicit authorization-code client, matching config validation.
Code consumption: SessionStore.Consume reads and deletes under one lock. The
previous Get/Delete pair spanned JWT signing, and the added test reproduces the
race against that version -- 9 of 16 concurrent exchanges succeeded, and a
failed exchange left the code replayable.
UserInfo: check the JOSE header algorithm before trusting the signature, require
the configured issuer, and require an access token rather than accepting an ID
token of the right shape. Purpose is decided on the scope claim so the issued
token contract, which consumers pin exactly, does not change.
SCOPE.md and the assessment record which bindings are now enforced and that the
Authelia upstream-trust assumption remains open, so G01 is not fully closed and
no profile-conformance claim is made.

as the platform management tenant for the Glas approval chain, requiring exact
spelling across the approval store, the service-client JWT claim and the
lifecycle CheckRequest.
Changes the tenant field on secrets-engine-approval and approval-engine-operator
only, in the registration fixture and the provisioning packet. Unrelated clients
and the human directory default keep tenant:coulomb, and no audience, scope,
subject, role, lifetime or MFA grant changes.
Adds issuance evidence that the approval shape emits tenant:platform exactly and
never an alias the caller requests, that the OpenBao client gains no
cross-tenant reach, and a fixture guard pinning every reviewed client's tenant.

Answers the GLAS-WP-0015 tenant-alignment request. The JWT tenant is
tenant:coulomb for all four reviewed service registrations; the approval store
tenant and the policy tenant belong to other owners and KeyCape does no
normalization between them. No mapping is invented and no live registration
changes.
Adds regression tests proving the tenant claim is bound at registration and is
not influenced by request parameters, that distinct registrations never carry
each other's tenant, and that human tokens fall back to the platform tenant
rather than an empty claim.

Add signed registration/enrollment handoffs, per-request assurance
policy with login-session isolation, and /logout. coulomb-social
stays AAL1 unless acr_values or another client raises the bar.
Allow coulomb-social ordinary login at AAL1 via mfaRequired: false while
keeping provider requireForAll for clients without an override. Preserve
explicit acr_values=aal2 for step-up.
New internal/adapters/tenantengine package, mirroring
internal/adapters/{lldap,privacyidea,authelia}'s shape: Client.Roles()
calls tenant-engine's cache-read endpoint. Fails open by construction --
unreachable, non-200, malformed body, or a nil *Client all return
(nil, false), never an error to specially handle. Wired into
TokenHandler.TenantEngine (nil by default, existing tests unaffected);
token.go stamps tenant_roles only when ok.
7 adapter tests plus 3 TokenHandler-level tests proving the actual
required behavior end-to-end: present when reachable, token issuance still
200 with every other core claim intact when unreachable (tenant_roles
simply absent -- the literal done-criteria), absent when not configured.
Real bug found and fixed at the source, not worked around: the first live
cross-process check (real flex-auth, real tenant-engine, this adapter)
returned tenant_not_found for a tenant that existed -- tenant-engine's read
endpoint was keyed by its internal tenant_id, but key-cape only ever has
the tenant's profile identifier. Fixed in tenant-engine
(ADHOC-2026-07-24), re-verified with the same live three-process chain --
roles=[IAM] ok=true.
Workplan closed: T01-T03 done. Explicitly still open: client_credentials /
service-token issuance -- no such flow exists in token.go at all, a
materially larger separate piece of work than either task here.

Verified first: grant_types_supported advertises client_credentials in
discovery.go, but token.go only ever accepted authorization_code -- no
service-token issuance path exists at all. Building one from scratch is
materially bigger than extending the existing flow; explicitly not
attempted here, left open in the workplan rather than declared done.
What shipped for the human Authorization Code + PKCE flow:
- domain.User.Tenant (new, omitempty) + token.go's effectiveTenant():
falls back to tenant:coulomb (this workstation's actual tenant, ADR-0006)
when unset -- never an empty tenant claim, never a silent reassignment.
- principal_type: "human", unconditional.
- groups/roles promoted from scope-gated to unconditional core claims,
always [] not null when empty. One pre-existing test asserted the old
scope-gated groups behavior -- updated to match the new intentional
behavior, not left failing or reverted.
- assurance built from PKCESession.MFAVerified (new field, threaded
through completeAuthorization's two call sites in authorize.go) --
whether MFA was actually verified in this session, not static enrollment
state. aal2 only when required-and-passed this time, aal1 otherwise.
go build/vet clean, go test ./... green repo-wide. Two new authorize_test.go
cases assert MFAVerified on both paths. tests/profile/profile_test.go's
TestCompleteTokenFlow (the repo's own full HTTP integration test) extended
with real value assertions for all five claims, not just presence checks.
Python conformance tool not run against a live instance (needs the full
Authelia+LLDAP+privacyIDEA stack); TestCompleteTokenFlow's real HTTP round
trip covers the equivalent claim checks instead.
